Volunteers Needed for the Drinking Water Week Fair!

Friday, May 8 in South Burlington

The Drinking Water Week Fair is a field trip for students in grades 4 through 6. This year’s event will be at Veterans Memorial Park in South Burlington, VT on Friday, May 8. The theme is “Water: Our Story.”

We are seeking volunteers to help with the field trip!

• Volunteers arrive by 8:30 am and leave around 2:30 pm after the site is cleaned up.
• We need volunteers to teach activities, lead groups between stations, and help with other tasks.
• Coffee, snacks, tap water, and lunch are provided.

Drinking Water Taste Test

The Vermont Drinking Water Week Committee will be hosting the 2026 Water Taste Test during our conference on May 15. The contest is open to all public water systems in Vermont with a valid Permit to Operate with no state or federal drinking water violations.

Submit an entry form to info@vtruralwater.org by May 1 and bring one gallon of water to Lake Morey Resort on May 14.

Renewal Reminder

Class 2 and 4 water treatment certifications are up for renewal in 2026. The renewal form is due by May 31, 2026. Use the new Public Drinking Water System Operator Certification Application nFORM, which can be found here. Instructions for the nFORM can be found here.
