Online Training

Note on Online Credits

Note that a maximum of 50% of TCHs for a water or wastewater operator’s continuing education training can come from asynchronous (not live) online training in a given certification period. Questions about certification, licensing, and TCHS should be directed to the VT DEC DWGPD (drinking water) and the Office of Professional Regulation (wastewater).

This does not apply to live webinars. Zoom classes held by Vermont Rural Water have been approved for full TCHs by DWGPD and OPR. Click here to learn about Zoom classes.

SunCoast

You can take training courses online through SunCoast Learning Systems. These courses are approved for water and wastewater training contact hours (TCHs) by the Vermont DEC Drinking Water & Groundwater Protection Program and the Wastewater Management Program.

FLO Course

Fluoridation Learning Online (FLO) is available for free to water operators. The FLO course consists of four modules; each module is approved for 1 TCH for water credit in Vermont, for a total of 4 TCHs. This training is free and is offered by the CDC.
