Pump Basics

This class will cover centrifugal pumps with different impeller types and applications, as well as positive displacement pumps including peristaltic, progressive cavity, and gear pumps. You will learn hydraulic basics, how different pump types work, their applications at a water or wastewater facility, and pump maintenance. The instructor will bring demo pumps and will demonstrate their disassembly and reassembly to help you gain a better understanding of the different pumps.
