This multi-week course is designed for those training to become a distribution operator. The class will prepare you to take the Vermont distribution certification exam.* Topics will include all aspects of distribution systems, as well as hydraulics, water chemistry, water mathematics, and sampling procedures. Guest instructors will join us to share their expertise.
*According to the Vermont Water Supply Rule 21-12, you must meet the requirements of working at a Class D system to be able to receive a class D license.
Prerequisites
It is strongly encouraged that students take Basic and Advanced Math for Water and Wastewater Operators before attending this course. These classes will be offered on August 22 and 24. Register here:

Textbooks
Two textbooks are required for all students. A third book with practice exam questions is recommended. Books can be mailed to you (you pay shipping) or you can pick them up at our office (for free). Please purchase by August 27.

Location: Zoom & Essex
Some sessions will be held in-person and the rest will be held over Zoom. The schedule of which sessions are in-person will be announced closer to the start of the course.
In-person sessions will be held at our office in Essex (see address below) and may involve guest speakers, hands-on demonstrations, and/or field trips. In-person attendance is strongly encouraged, but you may watch over Zoom if needed.
