Description:
The City of Essex Junction offers an exciting opportunity for a Seasonal Water Resource Recovery Operator Intern to join our team. This internship will provide hands-on experience in the day-to-day operations of our Water Resource Recovery Treatment Facility.
Responsibilities:
• Assist with daily inspections of equipment and facilities
• Participate in seasonal projects and maintenance tasks
• Collect and analyze data related to water quality
• Conduct water quality testing and analysis
• Collaborate with experienced operators to ensure efficient operations
• Perform tasks outdoors in various weather conditions
• Update records and documentation as needed
Requirements:
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to tasks
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable working outdoors
• Interest in science, water quality, or engineering preferred
Pay: $18.50 per hour.
Work Hours: 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, from July to September, with flexibility when school starts.
