Position Summary
Morrisville Water & Light is seeking a qualified and motivated professional to join our team in a leadership role within our water division. Depending on experience and certification, this position may be filled as either an Assistant Chief Water Operator or Chief Water Operator (Water Foreman).
This role is responsible for supporting and/or leading the operation, maintenance, and regulatory compliance of the municipal water system to ensure the delivery of safe, reliable drinking water.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced operator ready to step into a leadership role, or for a current leader seeking to take full responsibility for system operations.
Final title and responsibilities will be based on qualifications:
- Assistant Chief Water Operator: Supports system oversight and serves as second-in-command; opportunity to advance to Chief Operator
- Chief Water Operator / Water Foreman: Leads all water system operations, staff, and regulatory compliance
Position Type: Full-Time (40 hours per week, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, with occasional overtime)
Starting Pay: $27.64 to $43.72 per hour commensurate with experience
