The Town of Springfield, VT is seeking an experienced individual to fill a full-time Maintenance Worker III/Vactor Truck Driver position within the Public Works Department. Desired candidate must have the ability to perform semi-skilled work related to the operation of sewer collections. Must be able to make accurate reports of material hauled and maintenance scheduled. Operates Vactor truck and light duty motor equipment, and hand tools necessary to perform repair functions.
Must possess all desired knowledge, abilities and physical capabilities necessary to perform heavy manual labor for long hours under varying and often rugged climatic conditions. A valid motor vehicle operator’s license and a valid CDL (with Tanker endorsement) is required.
This position is non-exempt and requires the employee to be on call. Pay Grade 16, Pay Scale $19.54 – $26.82 per hour with an excellent benefits package.
