Here is what we are looking for in an Electrical Maintenance Technician:

The Electrical Maintenance Technician is responsible to perform all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of all CWD’s electrical/electronic equipment and all computerized control process equipment. This role requires strong mechanical and electrical/electronic aptitude and skills that will enable him/her to analyze and correct mechanical and electrical/electronic problems.

The Electrical Maintenance Technician will become fully knowledgeable with the physical components of the CWD system including pumps and pump stations, lines and metering, valving, and control systems. This position will also proactively identify electrical problems and take the necessary steps to keep the system performing effectively.

We prefer someone with the following skills and experience:

  • Knowledgeable in water systems maintenance, repair, and construction practices.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and be capable of reacting to any unusual or non-routine situation in such a manner to initiate prompt corrective action.
  • Minimum of 2 years working in the electrical/electronic field at a level equivalent to a licensed journeyman electrician.
  • Candidate shall possess and maintain a State of Vermont Journeyman Electrician’s license, or ability to attain such within a time determined by the District and shall complete all required National Electrical Code continuing education, achieving National Electrical Code recertification.
