The Town of Hartford, Vermont is seeking a qualified, experienced candidate for the Chief Water Operator position. The right candidate will perform a variety of duties involved in the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of pumping equipment, facilities, and telemetry to maintain water quality standards, including sampling and water treatment. We are looking for an individual who can commit to the safe leadership of our Water Department and who will represent the interests of the Town of Hartford.
Minimum qualifications include a current Vermont Class 3 Public Water System Operator Certification, high school diploma or GED and 5-7 years of relevant experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience. A valid driver’s license, ability to operate and repair equipment.
This is a full-time position where pay is commensurate with experience. Benefits include VMERS retirement plan, health, dental, and life insurance and 14 paid holidays.
