The Town of Hartford, Vermont is seeking a qualified, experienced candidate for the Chief Wastewater Operator position. The right candidate will manage the WRJ/Hartford and Quechee Wastewater Treatment systems, supervise two Assistant Chief Operators and related staff. This position includes the Wastewater Treatment Plants, community sanitary systems, and sanitary distribution systems.
Minimum qualifications include a current Vermont Grade 3DM Wastewater Certification, high school diploma or GED and 5-7 years of relevant experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience. A valid driver’s license, ability to operate and repair equipment.
This is a full-time position where pay is commensurate with experience and qualifications ranging from $32.06 to $43.27 per hour. Benefits include VMERS retirement plan, health, dental, and life insurance and 14 paid holidays.
