Developing and Updating Your Source Protection Plan
Class Description
Join staff from the Vermont Drinking Water and Groundwater Protection Division (DWGPD) and the Vermont Rural Water Association to learn about new tools in the world of source water protection planning. This training will focus on the key components of a source protection plan. Attendees will be introduced to DWGPD’s new online tools, including a template and guidance document that you can use to develop your water system’s source protection plan (SPP) and/or source protection plan update (SPPU). There will be an interactive demonstration of the template and guidance document, as well as a review of the new ANR Online Source Protection Plan Submission Form. These tools can streamline the process of creating and updating a water system’s source protection plan and help water systems stay in compliance with State of Vermont regulations.
The class itself will be 9 am to 12:30 pm. Starting at 1 pm there will be an optional work session that does not provide credit hours.
