Description
Water distribution systems and storage tanks are the most vulnerable part of a water system for contamination. This class will take a look at contamination vulnerabilities in a water distribution system. Attendees will learn basic hydraulics, contamination pathways, cross connection control, and operation and maintenance of water storage tanks. The maintenance activities we will discuss include proactive leak detection, distribution system flushing, and water quality sampling.
