Reminder: Public Hearings on Proposed Changes to Water Supply Rule
The public hearings on the proposed revisions to the Vermont Water Supply Rule are tonight and tomorrow. The most significant proposed change would be that many water systems would now be required to have a certified distribution operator (Class D) as well as a certified water treatment operator (Class 2, 3, or 4). The public hearings are:
Wednesday, September 27 at 5 pm

Weekly Flood Recovery Webinars
The Vermont League of Cities and Towns (VLCT) is holding weekly meetings with Vermont Emergency Management (VEM) to continue to provide information on flood recovery.
The meetings are every Tuesday at 1 pm on Microsoft Teams.

Free Cybersecurity Scanning Service
The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) has a new program that provides free vulnerability scanning to water and wastewater systems. It can automatically scan your system for cybersecurity vulnerabilities and send you a weekly report. See the fact sheet for more information.
To enroll, email vulnerability@cisa.dhs.gov with the subject line “Requesting Vulnerability Scanning Services.”
