New Water Operator Renewal Form
The new online application for water operator certification and renewal is now available here. Class 3 and D operators must submit this form by June 30, 2025.
Important information:
• Instructions for Class 2, 3, 4, and D renewal can be found here. Instructions for Class 1B can be found here.
• DWGPD is no longer tracking operators’ credit hours. You will need to upload your class certificates showing you have completed your continuing education requirements.
• The old PDF renewal form will still be accepted for this renewal cycle. Find it here.

New this year: Meter Challenge! Test how quickly and accurately you can assemble a working meter. Grand prize is a $500 gift card. Hosted by Zenner USA. Water/Wastewater Cybersecurity Drill
EPA is hosting a national cybersecurity drill for the water and wastewater sector. The two-hour drill will allow participants to test their preparedness for a cybersecurity incident through an interactive tabletop exercise or by practicing running a portion of your system in manual operations.
The drill will be Tuesday, May 27 from 1 to 3 pm. There will be an informational session on Tuesday, April 29 at 1 pm. Both will take place on Zoom

Renewal Reminder
Water Operators: Class 3 and D certifications must be renewed by June 30, 2025. You will need 20 training credit hours (TCHs). Find the new renewal application here.
Wastewater Operators: Wastewater licenses must be renewed by July 31, 2025. You will need 8–16 training credit hours (TCHs), depending on your license type.
