October 11, 2022 — Montpelier, VT

Laboratory data quality is highly dependent upon the sampling procedures. Although it would seem a simple process, there are a variety of issues that can occur which affect the outcome. We have prepared a short training program to help those of you in the water/wastewater profession understand how to properly collect representative samples from various matrices including water, wastewater, soil and sludge. We will cover the appropriate sampling materials, preservatives, holding times, and a host of details that you might not have considered. We include discussion of trace metals, organics, biological and microbiological sampling procedures. This is a complete review from the sample container request to the submittal to the laboratory. You will be fascinated and held spellbound by the level of detail we provide.
