We are seeking a dedicated, flexible, licensed, Grade 2 Wastewater Operator to perform essential operational and maintenance duties in the Rutland, Vermont area. This position offers flexibility as we are open to both Full-Time and Part-Time candidates.
Work location will be in the Rutland area with the support of the rest of the SOS operations team.

As a Grade 2 Operator, you will be crucial to the daily function of our wastewater facilities. Duties include:
- Operating, monitoring, and adjusting plant processes and equipment (pumps, valves, motors, etc.).
- Performing routine laboratory analysis and tests on wastewater samples.
- Collecting and recording data, maintaining accurate logbooks, and preparing regulatory reports.
- Conducting scheduled maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical or process issues.
- Assisting with the maintenance of collection systems and pump stations.
- Adhering to all local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
- Must possess a valid State of Vermont Grade 2 Pollution Abatement Facility Operator License (or equivalent license with the ability to obtain VT reciprocity).
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in wastewater treatment operations is preferred.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
