The Town of Hartford, Vermont is seeking a qualified, experienced candidate for the position of Chief Wastewater Operator to manage the White River Junction/Hartford and Quechee wastewater treatment systems, to include wastewater treatment plants, community sanitary systems, and sanitary distribution systems.
Minimum qualifications include current Vermont Grade 3DM Wastewater Certification, high school diploma or GED, 5-7 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience, supervision of two Assistant Chief Operators and related staff, valid driver’s license, ability to operate and repair equipment, and a team-player who is self-motivated.
This is a full-time position where pay is commensurate with experience and qualifications, ranging from $32.54 to $45.52 per hour. Benefits include VMERS retirement plan, health, dental, and life insurance, and 14 paid holidays.
