Remembering Dick Desautels

We are sad to share that Dick Desautels passed away last month. Dick worked with Colchester Fire District #2 and served on Vermont Rural Water’s board of directors from 2003 to 2023. We put together a post to share some memories of Dick. Read it here.

Flood Response Video

In July, the National Rural Water Association came to Vermont to film a video about the flood in Plainfield and recovery efforts from last year’s flooding in Johnson, Hardwick, Richmond, and Waterbury. Watch the video here!

Vermont Represented on National Committees

Last month, Vermont Rural Water board member Jon Thornton was appointed as Chair of the National Rural Water Association’s (NRWA) Credentials and Nominating Committee and as a member of the Scholarship Committee. Executive Director Liz Royer was appointed as a member of NRWA’s  Regulatory Committee.
