Lead Service Line Identification, Inventory, and Replacement

The revised federal lead and copper rule requires every public community water system to develop an inventory of its service line materials. This course will discuss approaches to identifying service line pipe materials, including records reviews, visual inspections, water sampling, and test digging. The discussion will feature a detailed case study of five years of service line identification and lead service line replacement work in Bennington, Vermont.
