Assistant Chief Operator — Chelsea Water Department

The Town of Chelsea seeks to hire an Assistant Chief Operator. This permanent part-time position is for an individual who would eventually become certified and complete requirements to become a Chief Operator. The Chelsea Water Department is a small, analog, Water and Wastewater System serving about 160 households.

Minimum requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent ability to read, write, and communicate effectively, basic math calculations, attention to detail, valid driver’s license, ability to obtain a State certification for Wastewater Grade 2DM and Water Grade 2 (minimum) within 2 years of employment. This position is 20 plus hours per week, with some work on weekends and holidays, and the ability to respond to call backs in a timely manner.
