DESCRIPTION:Description\nThe first part of this class will focus on distribution system corrosion and methods to combat it. Topics covered include: what is corrosion and what causes it\, why some waters are more corrosive than others\, problems corrosion causes\, lead/copper rules\, and using phosphates and pH adjustment to combat corrosion. \nIn the second part\, we will look at polymer use for solids separations\, including: what is polymer and how does it work\, storage and handling\, mixing and using polymer\, how to make adjustments\, and spill clean-up. \nCredit\n3 TCH (Water & Wastewater) \nHybrid\nThis class will be held on Zoom with the option to watch the Zoom meeting at our office in Essex.
