Vermont’s Drinking Water Program is seeking a supervisor for the Engineering Section. This position will oversee a team of two Professional Engineers; all three positions will be responsible for reviewing construction permit applications, preliminary engineering reports, and providing technical assistance to public drinking water systems. This position will dictate the workload for the rest of the engineering team. The ideal candidate will be a Vermont-registered Professional Engineer with documented experience in public water supply, sanitary engineering, and the Drinking Water or Clean Water State Revolving Loan Fund process. The position is expected to be or quickly become the State’s technical expert in public water system engineering in Vermont. The candidate must have strong technical and writing skills, excellent communication skills, and have the ability to continue the efforts of the program to expedite and streamline existing processes. Limited field work will be required, but the majority of the time working will be in an office setting.
