  • System Membership (with voting rights)

  • CWS (Community Water Systems)
    Serving a population ≤ 500 $150
    Serving a population > 500 but ≤ 3,300 $175
    Serving a population > 3,300 but ≤ 10,000 $275
    Serving a population > 10,000 $325
    All systems serving a residential population of 25 or more (or with 15 or more connections) for at least 60 days a year fall into this category, including fire districts, municipal systems, apartments, mobile home parks, and homeowners associations.
     
    Combined CWS/WW (Combined Community Water and Wastewater Systems)
    Serving a population ≤ 500 $200
    Serving a population > 500 but ≤ 3,300 $225
    Serving a population > 3,300 but ≤ 10,000 $325
    Serving a population > 10,000 $375

    WW (Wastewater Systems)
    Serving a population ≤ 3,300 $150
    Serving a population > 3,300 $175
     
    TNC (Transient, Non-Community Water Systems) $50
    Includes campgrounds, restaurants, gas stations and other locations where most people who use the system pass through and do not stay for long periods.
     
    NTNC (Non-Transient, Non-Community Water Systems)
    Serving a population ≤ 500 $150
    Serving a population > 500 $175
    Includes schools, factories, office buildings, hospitals, and other systems that serve 25 or more of the same people for at least six months per year. This category is used for systems (such as factories) where the same people are served year-round, but not all day (i.e., it's not a residence).
  • Associate Membership (without voting rights)

  • Associate Members $210
    Includes all vendors and other friends of the association.
     
    Sustaining Associate Members $910
    A special package rate that also includes advertising and conference exhibit space.

VRWA's membership rates are partially based on these size classifications developed by the U.S. EPA:

  • Very Small water systems serve 25-500 people
  • Small water systems serve 501-3,300 people
  • Medium water systems serve 3,301-10,000 people
  • Large water systems serve 10,001-100,000 people
  • Very Large water systems serve 100,001 or more people
